Please Note: This trip in Peru takes place in high elevations. The location where we are based is close to 10,000 ft in elevation. For this trip, it is recommended that participants are in good to excellent physical condition. We will be working and hiking in this environment and it will be important to us that all participants are aware of the conditions so they can feel as comfortable as possible. With this, we will all be acclimating to the elevation and conditions together, taking the first couple of days slowly. We will also support acclimation with special foods, teas, and by taking part in various exercises.

Our international programs are opportunities to put into practice the values and mission of True Nature which include service, leadership, adventure, and mindfulness. If you have an interest in the program, have an adventurous spirit, a desire to experience a different culture and a willingness to participate in group activities then you are welcome to join our programs.
We recommend that participants are in good physical condition. We will be exploring and hiking on uneven pathways and up and down hills. It is important to us that all participants are aware of the conditions so they can feel as comfortable as possible.
For your wellbeing, and that of the group, we ask all participants to disclose any existing medical conditions or limitations on the registration form.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We understand that many questions come up when visiting a place you have never been to. What do I bring? What is the weather like? We have created Participant Packages that will clarify these types of questions and more. Once you have registered, we will send you these materials. In addition, on our website we have a comprehensive FAQ section that also gives detailed answers to common questions. If you have other questions, you can always write to us at info@truenatureeducation.com so we can support you.
Getting There
All international flights will arrive at the Cusco Airport (CUZ) in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Most flights come via Lima. Before booking tickets, please be sure you have received your official confirmation note that the trip has met its minimum. There will be one group airport shuttle each way based on our flight window guidelines. Be sure your flights align with the provided flight windows if you wish to use the group shuttle.
Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $100, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
Read more about our insurance partners and their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
