Are you wanting to take your leadership skills to another level and travel internationally? Are you wanting to learn what it means to be a Global Ambassador? Are you wanting to explore the world and change lives, including your own? If so, this is a trip for you!

Over the past decade, True Nature Education and The National Society of Leadership and Success have partnered to offer exciting service, leadership, and adventure travel opportunities to around the world. This year we are headed to Italy for a week of adventure, culture, and leadership in one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.

You are invited to join us for a 2024 trip to the beautiful countryside of Umbria, Italy. We will be staying in a stunning Tuscan villa, touring local villages, visiting the gorgeous lake, truffle hunting, dining on delicious Italian food, and learning about the local architecture! Experience the unique culture and share once-in-a-lifetime experiences with fellow travelers who will soon become friends for life.

Start your day in Italy with gentle stretching and breathing to prepare you for receiving all of the gifts that this amazing country has to offer. Every day of your trip will be filled with incredible opportunities to explore the local culture and immerse yourself in outdoor adventures. There will also be opportunities to be of service to the local community.

You will have an unforgettable journey, full of outdoor adventures, connections, contemplative leadership activities, and a local service learning opportunity. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet new friends for life, learn about being an international student leader, and explore more about yourself. In a time where our world is becoming more and more of a global community, learn what it means to be a global ambassador and leader by taking part in this incredible trip to Italy.

Accommodations

This quaint and historical center is strategically located and is an attractive destination for many reasons. The property is on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, making it a perfect “station” to head out from on any number of itineraries. The center itself is imbued with fresco walls, intoxicating landscapes, delicious cuisine, pool and lounging area, and beautiful group space. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared daily and include healthy vegetarian options. The food is organic when available and prepared with nourishing ingredients.

Day 1 – Arrival Day

Register early as these programs tend to fill quickly! A $350 deposit will get your name on the big “I Want To Go To ITALY” list and officially reserve your spot. It will be deducted from the total amount of the trip cost.

*The trip has a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 25 people.

CANCELLATION

Initial deposits and the $35 registration fee are non-refundable and non-transferable
50% of payments are refundable up to 90 days before program excluding initial deposit and the $35 registration fee
89 days prior to a program, tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable
Full tuition is refunded if the trip is canceled due to low enrollment. The $35 registration fee is not refundable
True Nature is not responsible for any loss incurred due to currency conversion rates

NSLS ALUMNI AND NON-NSLS MEMBERS

NSLS Alumni and Non-NSLS Members are also welcome on the trip. If you or someone you know would like to join us please let us know.

Non-members will have to pay the full tuition price and also agree to the True Nature / Code of Conduct for the trip. Alumni are eligible for the discount.

IS THIS PROGRAM FOR ME?

The programs are open to anyone 18 – 55 years old. Most participants are college age and traveling abroad for the first time. Our international programs are opportunities to put into practice the values and mission of True Nature which include service, leadership, adventure, and mindfulness. If you have an interest in the program, have an adventurous spirit, a desire to experience a different culture and a willingness to participate in group activities then you are welcome to join our programs.

We recommend that participants are in good physical condition. We will be exploring and hiking on uneven pathways and up and down hills. It is important to us that all participants are aware of the conditions so they can feel as comfortable as possible.

For your wellbeing, and that of the group, we ask all participants to disclose any existing medical conditions or limitations on the registration form.

We understand that many questions come up when visiting a place you have never been to. What do I bring? What is the weather like? We have created Participant Packages that will clarify these types of questions and more. Once you have registered, we will send you these materials. In addition, on our website we have a comprehensive FAQ section that also gives detailed answers to common questions. Getting There

You will be booking your flights for the Florence International Airport (FLR). Before booking tickets, please be sure you have received your official confirmation note that the trip t has met its minimum. There will be one group airport shuttle each way based on our flight window guidelines. Be sure your flights align with the provided flight windows if you wish to use the group shuttle.

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $100, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
