Accommodations
True Nature Education has carefully selected unique, ecologically friendly, and inspiring accommodations for this program to give you a true taste of Costa Rica’s natural beauty and hospitality. Guests will spend three nights at Arenal Eco-Lodge & Biodynamic Farm, a rainforest eco-lodge in the Arenal region dedicated to regenerative agriculture and biodiversity conservation, and three nights at Pacific Coast Ecolodge and Yoga Center, a sustainable lodge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by tropical forest.
At both locations, comfort blends seamlessly with nature. You may find yourself waking to the call of howler monkeys or the song of tropical birds, practicing yoga with fresh breezes, or enjoying meals prepared with organic, locally sourced ingredients. Trails, gardens, and hidden beaches offer opportunities for adventure, reflection, and immersion in Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity.
Accommodations are primarily shared to encourage connection and community among participants, with limited private options available upon request. Each lodge provides an atmosphere of peace and authenticity, allowing you to truly relax and recharge in harmony with the natural world.

IS THIS PROGRAM FOR ME?
The programs are open to anyone 18 – 55 years old. Most participants are college-age and traveling abroad for the first time. Our international programs are opportunities to put into practice the values and mission of True Nature, which include service, leadership, adventure, and mindfulness. If you have an interest in the program, have an adventurous spirit, a desire to experience a different culture, and a willingness to participate in group activities, then you are welcome to join our programs.
We recommend that participants are in good physical condition. We will be exploring and hiking on uneven pathways and up and down hills. It is important to us that all participants are aware of the conditions so they can feel as comfortable as possible.
For your well-being, and that of the group, we ask all participants to disclose any existing medical conditions or limitations on the registration form.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We understand that many questions come up when visiting a place you have never been to. What do I bring? What is the weather like? We have created Participant Packages that will clarify these types of questions and more. Once you have registered, we will send you these materials. In addition, on our website, we have a comprehensive FAQ section that also gives detailed answers to common questions. If you have other questions, you can always write to us at info@truenatureeducation.com so we can support you.
Getting There
All international flights will arrive at San Jose International Airport (SJO). Before booking tickets, please be sure you have received your official confirmation note that the trip has met its minimum. There will be one group airport shuttle each way based on our flight window guidelines. Be sure your flights align with the provided flight windows if you wish to use the group shuttle.
Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, Mother Nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often, for less than $100, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
Read more about our insurance partners and their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
