This week was an excellent balance of work and play. I loved that I was able to give back to both the community and the environment. I loved the environmental sustainability aspect and feel that I learned a lot that I can bring back to my own country and habits. I wasn’t expecting so much sightseeing and learning of the country and the people and culture, but I loved this aspect so much. I expected very little and came into the trip very unaware of what was going to be in store, but I felt that that uncertainty made the trip that much more impactful and fulfilling. It was an education, eye-opening, heart-opening, soul-searching, beautiful experience.
