True Nature Education is partnering with Mount Wachusett Community College in 2019 and heading to Costa Rica!
Experience the rich culture of this incredible country while doing work to support the people, communities, and preservation of the land and natural environment. You will have an unforgettable journey, full of outdoor adventures, connections with local communities, and service outreach work. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet new friends for life, learn about being an international student leader, and explore more about yourself. In a time where our world is becoming more and more of a global community, come be a part of the bridge of support by taking part in this incredible service, adventure and leadership trip.
During the program you will participate in several service opportunities* including potential projects such as: planting trees, working at the local school, renovation/construction of a local building (i.e. school, community, center, church), caring for endangered monkeys, cleaning the beach, and sharing our individual gifts – art, music, dance, and sports — with the local communities. Students will stay at eco-hotels and locally run sustainable hotels. Our programs will take place at two different sites in 2018. Site #1 will be next to Manuel Antonio National Park and Site #2 will be located near the village of Chachagua, close to the Arenal Volcano.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST TRUE NATURE TRIPS
This week was an excellent balance of work and play. I loved that I was able to give back to both the community and the environment. I loved the environmental sustainability aspect and feel that I learned a lot that I can bring back to my own country and habits. I wasn’t expecting so much sightseeing and learning of the country and the people and culture, but I loved this aspect so much. I expected very little and came into the trip very unaware of what was going to be in store, but I felt that that uncertainty made the trip that much more impactful and fulfilling. It was an education, eye-opening, heart-opening, soul-searching, beautiful experience.
This trip is amazing at changing your perspective, and expanding your comfort zone. The series will change you in ways you could never imagine. Believe in yourself and you can accomplish many things on this trip.
This was an experience of body and soul, a reunion with nature and myself. One week doesn’t feel sufficient, and I hate to leave this paradise and the phenomenal, genuine people I have met. This trip is an inspiration for life, and I’ll always carry it with me.
