Service and Adventure Leadership Program

The Global Service, Culture, Adventure, and Leadership programs are at the heart of True Nature. We started in La Florida, Costa Rica with Service and Adventure programs and have spread across the world to offer one-of-a-kind trips to truly life-changing destinations.

All of our programs are custom designed using a combination of the following themes:

Service

For thousands of years, the value of service has been an important part of society. In a time where our world is becoming an increasingly global family, both growing and struggling together, we believe that our choices are more important than ever. The choice to be of service, especially when you travel abroad, is an honorable and noble choice that we celebrate with our participants. Some of the projects we offer include animal rehabilitation, reforestation, renovating a school, building houses, and so much more.

Culture

At the heart of travel is learning. Learning about the history and culture of the country where you travel is an important way to connect with your destination. But culture is about more than just reading up on Ancient Greece. It’s about going to the Acropolis and soaking in the energy that pulses in those century-old rocks. We also believe in the importance of cultural exchange, ensuring that you learn from the members of the local community as much as they learn from you through projects, dialogue, and experiencing authentic life in communities around the world.

Adventure

We believe that adventure is worthwhile in and of itself. Embracing adventure allows you to push out of your comfort zone, which is where growth and change takes place. True Nature encourages this by providing amazing opportunities to experience adventure, from snorkelling off the coast of Greece to trekking to Machu Picchu and beyond.

Leadership

All of our programs are designed to help you find your inner leader. Through yoga and meditation practices, journaling exercises, group sharing circles, lectures/talks/discussions, and more, we work hard to help our students discover their own True Nature and how to share it with the world. We believe in a world of inspired, compassionate, and well-traveled leaders and hope our programs will help us bring that world closer to the present.

Planning Your Custom Service and Adventure Trip

Looking for something different than what’s listed on our events page? Want to plan a custom experience? True Nature works with groups of all sizes and backgrounds. We have coordinated life-changing adventures with individuals, couples, families, schools and universities, religious and spiritual organizations, non-profit organizations, companies and businesses, celebrities, athletes, and more.

We will use our experience and know-how to plan a perfect trip to match the needs of your group. Some of the aspects you should consider when planning your custom program include:

-Desired length of the trip

-Number of people expected to attend

-Background and interests of expected attendees

-Destinations (we can plan single or multi-destination retreats)

-Would you like to have a True Nature Education Guide on the trip? If so, would you like a guide for the duration of the trip or a just a portion?

-What type of excursion(s) would you like on your trip. (Please see the Trip Information Page for a plethora of activities and excursions available in our various countries).

-How much service work would you like to be included in your trip. (More information on the type of service projects available can be found on the Service Page).

-Do you need support with making flight arrangements? Do you want to offer group flights or have participants book their flights individually?
