Over the past 5 years, True Nature Education and The National Society of Leadership and Success have partnered to offer this exciting service, leadership, and adventure travel opportunity to Costa Rica. You are invited to join us in 2019 on one of three trips being offered. Experience the rich culture of this incredible country while doing work to support the people, communities, and preservation of the land and natural environment. You will have an unforgettable journey, full of outdoor adventures, connections with local communities, and service outreach work. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet new friends for life, learn about being an international student leader, and explore more about yourself. In a time where our world is becoming more and more of a global community, come be a part of the bridge of support by taking part in this incredible service, adventure and leadership trip.

During the program you will participate in several service opportunities* including potential projects such as: planting trees, working at the local school, renovation/construction of a local building (i.e. school, community, center, church), caring for endangered monkeys, cleaning the beach, and sharing our individual gifts – art, music, dance, and sports — with the local communities. Students will stay at eco-hotels and locally run sustainable hotels. Our programs will take place at two different sites in 2018. Site #1 will be next to Manuel Antonio National Park and Site #2 will be located near the village of Chachagua, close to the Arenal Volcano.

This has been one of the most meaningful weeks of my life. The experience of meeting people from around the country in a foreign environment is priceless. It allows for an openness to rely on each other that can’t be recreated. The friendships I’ve made here and work I’ve accomplished, both internal and external, will last a lifetime.

I was very timid to come on this trip. I chose to come to help myself open up and to prove to myself I am capable of being adventurous and trying new things. I am so happy I had this experience to do things I never thought I would do. I met wonderful people. Leaving trip I feel like a new person, I was able to build confidence in myself. The service projects allowed me to see various things and I was grateful to help. The trip could have not been any better. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
