Come to Costa Rica and share in the 4th Annual Karma Yoga Experience. Experience this exciting and transformational retreat with instructors Kristin Luna Ray, Karina Ayn Mirsky, and Joshua Canter. There are many types of yoga, and it is said that Karma Yoga, the action of serving others, is one of the greatest forms of spiritual practice. During this one week program in Costa Rica we will have the opportunity to practice Karma Yoga, along with asana, meditation, chanting, and “adventure” excursions.
This retreat will take place The Nosara Bed and Breakfast Retreat Center in Nosara, Costa Rica. The Nosara Retreat is located on the Pacific coast near one of Costa Rica’s best-protected wildlife preserves. It is situated on two acres of lush tropical gardens and jungle with the ocean within earshot. It is an ideal secluded inspirational setting for our retreat.
In this highly participatory retreat, asana (yoga postures) practice will be a major focus. Each morning we will gather, overlooking the great Pacific Ocean, and salute the new day practicing together. Along with learning different yoga practices, the retreat will also cover yoga philosophy, and will have an emphasis on Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound.
During the week, we will have time to practice Karma Yoga, taking part in service work at True Nature and in the village of La Esperanza. Take this opportunity to give back to local community, feeling the true heartfelt benefits of outreach.
We will also have the opportunity to practice “Adventure Yoga” as we travel together on breathtaking excursions throughout Nosara. Learn to surf on some of the nicest (and most friendly) waves in the world, kayak through a mangrove forest, horseback on the sand at sunset.
In the evenings, we will raise our voices and open our hearts together, sharing in the power of sacred sound, song, heart circles.
The Karma Yoga experience is an opportunity for you to come to Costa Rica, deepen your practice, and most of all, take part in giving though service. This is a retreat you will never forget.

Instructor Bios
Karina Ayn Mirsky, MA, E-RYT (www.sanghayoga.com)
Devidas, Karina Ayn Mirsky is an internationally celebrated yoga and meditation teacher, yoga educator, and transformational coach. She is the director of Sangha Yoga in Kalamazoo, MI and is a teaching faculty member of the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA. She is also an adjunct professor in Antioch University’s Yoga Studies program. Karina has been teaching yoga since 1998. She was one of the first certified teachers of Rod Stryker’s ParaYoga®. Her work with both individuals and groups is informed by her experiences as a performance artist, therapist, and cancer survivor. Karina was honored in the March 2008 issue of Yoga Journal as one of 21 teachers under the age of 40 who is shaping the future of yoga in America.
Joshua Canter
Co-Founder of True Nature Education and the CREER Service Organization.
Joshua is the Director of True Nature Education. He has a BA in Intentional Community Development and an MA in Contemplative Psychology with an emphasis on mindfulness. Joshua is a trained facilitator, mediator, NVC (Non-Violent Communication) practitioner, and yoga and meditation teacher. The past 8 years Joshua has been living part-time in Costa Rica and Asheville, North Carolina, teaching courses and workshops, leading retreats, and accompanying his wife musically while they travel throughout the country.
Kristin Luna Ray (www.KristinLunaRay.com)
Co-Founder of the True Nature Education and the CREER Service Organization. Kristin “Luna” Ray is a singer-songwriter, workshop leader, and advocate for wellness and spiritual growth. Over the last seven years, she has traveled extensively throughout the world sharing music through performance, workshops, kirtans (call and response chanting), andcommunity work with hospice, and in schools with children. She is currently involved in an artist collaboration entitled the Bhakti Vinyasa Project, a Live Music and Yoga Experience. When she’s not traveling she resides part time in Asheville, NC, and part time in Costa Rica. Luna is also recently a new mama!
Accommodations
Comfortable Bed & Breakfast Style (Eco-Friendly) accommodations situated amidst acres of lush gardens, hiking trails and a secluded jungle trail leading to Playa Pelada, a beautiful swimming beach (a 5 minute walk). The atmosphere of the retreat center is simple, healthy and relaxed. 
Rooms are single, double or triple occupancy with fans and hot water and shared kitchen area.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared daily and include healthy vegetarian options along with fish and/or chicken. The food is organic when available, and prepared with nourishing ingredients.
Registration
Register early as we expect this retreat to fill quickly! A $250 deposit will get your name on the big “I Want To Go To Costa Rica” list and officially reserve your spot. It will be deducted from the total amount of the trip cost.
*The trip has a minimum of 13 people and a maximum of 20 people

Cancellation
Deposits are non-refundable.
1/2 Tuition is refundable up until 90 Days.
After 90 Days prior to a program tuition is non-refundable.
Full Tuition is refunded if the trip is canceled due to low enrollment

Getting There
All international flights will arrive at either San Jose International Airport (SJO) or Liberia International Airport. From the airport we will organize transportation for all retreat participants. Flights to Nosara from San Jose are also available. Before booking tickets please contact us to discuss flight arrival and departure windows for the retreat and to confirm if the retreat minimum enrollment has been reached.
